Oriel is a New York-based filmmaker, photographer and producer whose work has been published on Time Magazine, Resource Magazine, The Huffington Post and NOWNESS.
In 2016 he started production on his debut documentary "Project Peppermint" about Rupaul's Drag Race Season 9 contestant, Miss Peppermint. The film features Laverne Cox ("Orange is The New Black"), Trace Lysette ("Transparent") Bob The Drag Queen and others. it is currently in the post-production stsge and is set to be finished in 2018.
Oriel worked on castings for A&E Network, MTV, Bravo, Lifetime and TLC and served as the resident filmmaker & visual artist for the world-renowned dance company Pilobolus between 2012-2014. He toured with the company across the globe, documenting their collaborations with various acclaimed artists. HE directed short films for ARTNET and for the acclaimed photographer Robert Whitman. He covered events for The Modern School of Film in which he photographed Glenn Close, Anthony Bordain, Willem Dafoe, Tippy Hedren, Tom Skerritt, Holly Hunter and others.
