Oriel is a New York-based filmmaker, photographer and producer. His work has been published on Time, The Huffington Post, Resource Magazine and NOWNESS.
Oriel was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel and moved to New York in 2006 to study at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. After completing his studies he established Showreels LLC and worked on castings for A&E, MTV, Bravo, Lifetime and TLC. In 2012 he became the first resident filmmaker of the world-renowned dance company Pilobolus. He toured with the dancers and documented their collaborations across the globe.

In 2016 Oriel started production on his debut documentary "Project Peppermint" about Rupaul's Drag Race Season 9 contestant, Miss Peppermint. The film features Laverne Cox ("Orange is The New Black"), Trace Lysette ("Transparent")  Bob The Drag Queen and others. The film is currently in the post-production stage and is set to be finished in 2018.
