SYNOPSIS
A Deeper Love is a documentary that follows the journey of Miss Peppermint, a celebrated LGBTQ+ activist and drag performer who became the first transgender woman of color to compete on the popular reality TV series RuPaul's Drag Race. The film tells the story of her journey from a world of survival gigs to a symbol of acceptance and inclusivity for the black trans community. Despite facing adversity, Miss Peppermint finds refuge in her chosen family, including celebrated stars Laverne Cox and MJ Rodriguez. Her career takes off, winning awards and securing a major role in the musical Head Over Heels. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Miss Peppermint reclaims her spotlight as an actress and prepares for a triumphant return to Broadway in 2024.
